Social Responsibility and
Environmental Consciousness

Our enviro-conscious internal business practices and use of Green Best Practices in our work not only keep employees and the environment healthier and safer, they save us—and you—money. Here's what we have done:

• Installed solar panels on our headquarters building to help reduce air pollution and CO₂ emissions.
• Drive low-emission hybrid vehicles.
• Offset all our climate-changing carbon emissions through our CO₂OL Carpet Cleaning program and www.carbonfund.org.
• Developed the EcoTex cleaning system: the industry's best and safest.
• Became a charter member of California's Climate Change Registry.
• Won the Environmental Protection Agency's coveted Energy Star Award.
• Actively participate in organizations working to create a more sustainable society, including E2 and the Sustainable Business Council.
• Use social and environmental responsibility as a criterion for our corporate purchasing practices.
• Purchase and use recycled paper, plastic, other recycled and “green” office products.
• Recycle paper, plastic, batteries, computers and other reusable materials.
• Use only enviro-safe materials in our own building (cleansers, detergents, pest control, etc.).
• Encourage and educate our employees to be good environmental stewards in their personal lives.
• Donate a percentage of profits to worthy social and environmental causes.
• Share information and resources with other businesses, including our clients, on how to green their operations and join us in stewardship of the environment.
